Bonfire Coalition T-shirts Now Available
Bonfire Coalition Project Needs Volunteers
Committee Meeting Times and Locations

Howdy,

The Bonfire Coalition is already active this semester. We now have free shirts for anyone who makes a donation of $10 or more to the Bonfire Coalition (minimum $15 donation required if you want your shirt mailed). You may have already seen the PRO BONFIRE shirts roaming around campus. I know you want one too! Email coalitionshirts@hotmail.com or visit our website www.bonfirecoalitoin.org for more information. If you are out of town and are coming back "home" for the big football game this weekend, we can meet you to deliver your shirt, just let us know. Wear your Bonfire Coalition shirts to the Va. Tech game this weekend and help get the word out during the football game!

From the Chair:

We need volunteers ASAP. The Coalition is starting a research project to help strengthen our negotiating position in returning Bonfire to campus. We are going to contact every college and university in the country to find out if they build/burn a bonfire and if they do, how they do it. We need to search the Internet and get contact information. If you can donate an hour, or an evening this week or next, please email me at LSullyR@tamu.edu. What we need are people who can browse the Internet and get specific information for us. I can provide you with all the tools necessary. The more of you that help us out, the faster we can get this project under way. The process has
already been started, so contact me now to volunteer!

Campus Outreach

The Campus Outreach committee will be holding its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 17 at 8:15pm in the back left corner of the MSC Flag Room. We have much to discuss regarding events this semester, so we'd like all the help we can get. You have the opportunity to be a real asset to this organization and the University as a whole. We expect a good turnout, so please make this meeting a part of your Tuesday evening plans!

Also, PRO BONFIRE T-SHIRTS will be brought for anyone who has a donation to give of $10 or more. We want to spread these t-shirts all over campus so that we can get people thinking about Bonfire again.

Fundraising Committee

Howdy Ags! This is yet another report from the Treasurer. The first meeting of the Fundraising Committee will be on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:30 in the MSC Flag Room. I will be at the grouping of flags closest to the elevators.  I will be wearing a Coalition t-shirt with PRO BONFIRE on the front and "REBUILD, REUNITE" and our website on the back. I look forward to seeing all of you who are interested in this vital work. Remember, the rest of the committees will rely on us to raise the funds to make our goals a reality!

Thanks, Gig' Em, and God Bless

We will be meeting at this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the MSC Flag Room to discuss the efforts we need to take go get our message out to the current students, former students and the local community. Our responsibilities will include publicizing all of Bonfire Coalition's activities and events so please come and find out what my committee is about. We'll be having lots of fun this year as we work with Dr. Gates to return Bonfire to campus as safely and quickly as possible.

Howdy from the Former Students Committee,

Well, now that school is rolling and we have two wins behind us, its time to start getting down to business. The Former Students is having our first meeting of the semester, it will be at the MSC Flag Room on Thursday, September 19th at 7:00 PM. We will meet at couches around the Corps Flag Display. Something everyone can do before our meeting to help out the Former Students is to tell every Aggie you see that the Pro-Bonfire shirt is back and available to them from the Bonfire Coalition. For a 15-dollar donation it can be mailed to them or for a 10-dollar donation they can pick them up
for the Virginia Tech Football game while they are in town. Those interested should visit our website at www.bonfirecoalition.org or email us at coalitionshirts@hotmail.com with your shirt size requirements and when you'll be making your donation so we can have your shirt ready. The Former Student
committee will be play a vital role in helping Aggies in getting Bonfire to burn on campus in 2003. See you Thursday. If you want any information before that or want to know what you can do in your hometown email me at formerstudents@bonfirecoalition.org with any questions you have.
