Minutes for Board Meeting held on April 15, 2002

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm

Bar B Q- There will be a Meet the Board Bar B Q held on Thursday as originally scheduled.  Campus Outreach is making and passing out fliers.  The board should arrive around 4:30 PM.  Board members should wear Bonfire shirts of some sort. 

It was decided that the board members will buy and paint pots.  Discussion on this subject was postponed until later.

Carwash- There will be a carwash on Sunday in the parking lot of Long John Silver’s on Texas, beginning at 11:00 am.

Summer Information- The vice chair worked on getting everyone’s location for the summer.  Discussion on summer meetings will be postponed until the next meeting.

Committee Reports

Vice Chair: She introduced the new historian, Austin Bonds.

Fundraising: It was announced that the Coalition will be banking with Aggieland Credit Union.  Checks can be signed by the executive board members.  Because of this the executive board members need to give their driver’s license and social security numbers to the banker in charge of our account.

Political: The political committee will be getting the drinks for the Bar B Q on Wednesday from MacDonald’s.

Planning: The planning committee will be meeting Wednesday to make posters and prepare for the Bar B Q and carwash.

Campus Outreach: They were well represented at Midnight Yell during Parent’s Weekend.  They are currently publicizing for the Bar B Q and carwash.

Former Students Outreach: The board discussed ways to get students involved in this committee.

Traditions:  Historian, Austin Bonds, introduced himself and expressed interest in being a part of the board.

Website:  It is important that the Bar B Q be announced on the front page of the website.
